Crisp Founder & CEO Are Traasdahl has more than 17 years’ experience in mobile and digital content. He is the Founder and CEO of Tapad. In 2016, Telenor Group acquired Tapad for $360M, making it the fifth largest venture-backed M&A exit in New York since 2009. He is a frequent contributor for outlets such as CNBC and Bloomberg News, and he has been featured in Forbes, the Wall Street Journal, Ad Age and other major news outlets. He was named Global Startup Awards’ Founder of the Year in 2016 and EY Entrepreneur of the Year in 2014. He was also named one of Business Insider’s “Most Important People in Mobile Advertising: 2013.” Traasdahl also currently holds several board positions and heads Spring Capital, an investment holding company. Prior to Tapad, he founded Thumbplay, a mobile entertainment service that he grew to more than $100 MM in revenues in less than 3 years before he exited the company (the company, later acquired by Clear Channel, is now called iHeartRadio)

What is Crisp ?

Crisp is an AI-driven supply chain visibility company helping food manufacturers use real-time demand data to forecast accurate production volumes. They launched a daily report on consumer food buying trends during COVID 19 that looked at food buying behavior in Europe and modeled it for North American manufacturers so they could forecast food buying behavior here and better manage inventory. This was extremely useful when the US was about 2-3 weeks behind Europe in COVID impact. The Crisp platform is used to connect food manufacturers to distribution channels to provide real-time data access that can optimize supply and demand.
